As a multi-disciplinary and post-digital artist, I work at the intersection of material, color, form and technology. My practice is an ongoing search - a process in which I translate classical artistic materials with 21st-century appeal, such as interference effects, into raw, handmade works. I engage with the physical immediacy of the material, applying neon acrylics onto Alu-Dibond or scattering reflective particles into wet paint.
Simultaneously, I translate analogue sketches into digital designs, utilizing innovations from 3D printing to complex sandwich constructions for realisations. For these state-of-the-art materials, I see myself as an orchestrator. Like a conductor, I can play various instruments myself, but my brilliance lies in realising my ideas, themes, and convictions by collaborating with experts and joining their specialized skills.
Starting in March 2026, all this will broaden, following a new itinerary. My practice expands through a dedicated week each month at my/our collective studio and producer gallery on Calle Mazaroco 23, Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife. This rhythmic presence allows me to weave the light of the Canary Islands into my vibrant, handcrafted works, while I continue to conduct my complex projects from my base in Bochum and my gallery shows in Antwerp.
This duality - the raw physical gesture and the mastered technical precision - allows me to maintain the deeply human dimension of my ongoing search for freedom.
In all this, my queer perspective is my method. It is the impulse to question existing frameworks, challenging and break rigid norms and the viewers' perspectives, and materialise this on an autobiographical or societal level.
My works are internationally present and part of private collections in Bochum, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Antwerp, Uppsala, and Puerto de la Cruz. They exist as unique once-and-never-again stops, as moments in an ongoing personal development.
